The Solutré Prehistory Museum invites you to explore the remains of the past and discover the techniques of Prehistory as well as the methods of archaeology, alongside the archaeologists of Inrap.

VISIT AND INTRODUCTION TO PROPELLER SHOOTING
Temporary exhibition: The Propulsor, from reindeer hunters to kangaroo hunters

Discover the exhibition at 10:30 am, 14 pm and 15 pm
Introduction to spear throwing, from 11am to 12:30pm and from 14pm to 16pm
All audiences, adults and ages 8 and up

Are you familiar with the spear-thrower, a prehistoric hunting weapon used on several continents? Discover its diversity and various types of frames, and learn how to use this powerful and ingenious hunting weapon. After the tour, try your hand at hitting the target and win some prizes!

THE ARCHAEOLOGY LAB

How does an archaeologist work? How do they identify and analyze the remains of the past? The archaeologists at Inrap reveal their methods and techniques for examining these historical remains. Get all your questions answered in the heart of the archaeology lab!

With Louis De Weyer, archaeologist from Inrap, and the team from the Grand Site de France Solutré Pouilly Vergisson

Discover the stone-working techniques, perfected over more than 3 million years. Hard or soft hammerstones, flakes, blades and flakes: unlock the secrets of Stone Age artisans.

SHOW - Hypothesis – Pudding Theatre Company

Hypothesis tells the story of a woman who disappeared 43,000 years ago, revealed through unsettling archaeological remains. A contemporary fable that explores what it means to be human, between memory, mystery, and forgotten humanities.
